To unite and support African women living in North-America and their communities by celebrating the beauty of the African woman through a showcase of talent, cultural appreciation, creativity and public presentation.
The delegates who become part of the Northwest African Queen® gain confidence and poise in an increasingly competitive world. The pageant affords each delegate the opportunity to grow and advance her personal and career goals while acting as a role model in her community.

2011-2012 THEME
The theme for NAQ-II was “The Beauty Of Diversity“. With the instability in the African Continent, the Visionaries and Producers for NAQ were looking for ways Unite, Educate, Support, empower and groom women of virtue and courage to make Africa, North American communities and the world a better place one person at a time. The Theme was focused on early Education Awareness, Networking and Business acumen but most importantly to Support the Under-privileged.

Victoria Ochido (Kenya) was the winner for the
2nd RunnerUp-Tracy Muwanguzi, 1st RunnerUp- Elma Mdee & Winner-Victoria Ochido.
